Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study, and loans, you need to complete the FAFSA. Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college or trade schools.
Free & Reduced Price Meals Program Benefits
Free & Reduced Price Meal Program qualification can offset other costs besides school meals. If your family has been approved for free/reduced price meals, contact the counselor for assistance in obtaining discounts for college application fees, College Board testing, etc.

Art Center of Estes Park Scholarship |
One (1) $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a course of study in the visual arts and can document their study/interest in art during the high school years via classroom or independent study. Applicants must clearly state their intent to pursue the study of art through an essay that identifies their artistic and personal goals. They must also provide at least one letter of recommendation from an art instructor. . Acceptable college courses in visual arts would include, but not necessarily be limited to: Studio Arts, Ceramics, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Metal-Smithing, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Pottery, Fibers, Jewelry, Photo Imaging, Digital Art, Computer Graphics, Photography, Film Studies, and Art Education. |

Bria Brown: Living with Asthma Scholarship |

David Laurienti Memorial Scholarship |
David Laurienti 1969-2013 David was an avid outdoorsman. Whether on a rock-climbing route, a fishing trip, mountaineering, mountain biking, or simply enjoying the sunset around a campfire, he was at home in the backcountry. He spent his time teaching life’s lessons through these values to his children every day. This one (1) year scholarship for $1,000 is for a senior who shares David’s passion and appreciation for living with Rocky Mountain National Park in your “backyard” and plans to move both yourself and your community forward with those learned values. |
Aviation Scholarship |
The Estes Park Internationale Aviation Club is offering an Aviation or Aerospace-related scholarship, valued at $750, to a student interested in pursuing a career in Aviation or Aerospace-related technology. |
Estes Park Education Association Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $1,000 for one (1) year will be awarded to a graduating senior in need of financial assistance to further his/her/their education, preferably in the field of education. The applicant must provide: An essay stating needs and educational goals, two letters of recommendation, and proof of acceptance to an accredited college, university, or technical school will be required. There is no GPA minimum for this scholarship. |
Estes Park Memorial Observatory Scholarship |
Two to four (2-4) scholarships (together totaling about $6,000) for one (1) year, will be awarded. The scholarships are available to local graduating seniors, who have already applied to either a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university and have an interest in STEM related fields. Applicants will need to describe their long-term goals and career plans and should include any related experience or independent study in STEM fields. |
Estes Park Patriots for Peace Scholarship |
The purpose of these scholarships is to recognize and support graduating seniors in understanding themselves as Peacemakers in keeping with our organization’s goal of “building a culture of peace at all levels of society.” For example, we would like to know how applicants are addressing their studies, jobs, family life, creative pursuits, and community volunteerism, etc., in relation to their identities as Peacemakers. Topics in which we take an interest are focused on, but not limited to, the following: Unity, Interdependence, Environment/Renewable Energy/Sustainability, Economic Justice, Children’s Issues, Women’s Issues, Health and Well-being, Hunger and Poverty, Disarmament, and Peace. The number of our $500 scholarship awards is determined by the size of our scholarship fund at the time of awards (in 2023, there were eleven such awards). |
Estes Park Western Heritage Youth Scholarship |
Two (2) scholarships, @ $1,000 for one (1) year, are available to graduating high school seniors who have in some way contributed or desire to contribute to the western heritage of the Estes Valley. A scholarship committee of Estes Park Western Heritage, Inc. members will review applications and determine selection based on qualifications and desire. |
Estes Park Woman's Club Scholarship |
Two (2) scholarships, @ $2,000 for one (1) year, are available to graduating senior girls who have been in the Estes Park School District for at least two years. The students will be selected based on merit on a competitive basis, and while the financial needs are not paramount, they will be taken into consideration. Test scores, secondary-level grades, class rank, quality of 2 recommendations, and the student's descriptive essay are factors that will be considered by the selection committee. |
Estes Park Board of Realtors Scholarship |
Two (2) scholarships, @ $1,500 for one (1) year, are available to students planning to pursue further education with an intention of studying business or entering a business career in the future. One letter of recommendation should be from a teacher or counselor. A second letter of recommendation should be from an employer or mentor. |
Estes Park Junior Golf Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $5,000 is available for a graduating senior pursuing PGA (Professional Golf Association) status through an accredited PGM program or a recreation, sports management, or business degree. |
Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary Scholarship |
Two (2) scholarships, @ $2,500, for one (1) year and five (5) scholarships, @ $1,000, for one (1) year, will be awarded to graduating seniors who will be attending a college or vocational school starting in the fall after graduation. The recipients will be recognized for their desire to pursue a career in their future. Applicants will be assessed for community involvement and responsibility. Prior academic performance and financial need will be less heavily weighted. 2 letters of recommendation required (1 from a teacher and 1 from a community member preferred but not required). There is no GPA minimum for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students pursuing careers in CTE. |
Fine Arts Guild Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $2,000 for one (1) year is available for a student demonstrating exceptional talent and/or aptitude in and intent to study one or more areas of the Arts, including, but not limited to: English or literature, architecture, art or art education, dance, theatre, film, graphic design, fashion, interior design, culinary arts. Please have one of your letters of recommendation from an art teacher, either public or private. |
Fine Arts Guild: Lloyd Scott Music Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $1,000 for one (1) year is available to a high school graduate who will attend a college or technical school to pursue a major in the field of music, such as: musical performance, education, or production. One letter of recommendation must be from a teacher or mentor, either public or private, who can speak to the ability or aptitude of the student to pursue the chosen field of study. |
Grand Heritage Hotel Group Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $2,500 for one (1) year is available for a student planning studies in technology, engineering, or the mechanical arts. Named in honor of Charles Byron Hall (1941-2014), whose family over three generations in Estes Park was intimately involved with the history of The Stanley Hotel. His passion was the restoration of Stanley Steam Car and sharing of the heritage of this famous American automobile. Please have letters of recommendation from a teacher and counselor. |
Hilltop Guild: Allenspark Scholarship |
Two (2) scholarships, @ $1,500 for one (1) year are available to graduates of EPHS and/or Lyons HS for tuition, books, materials, and fees. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide need-based financial assistance to students wishing to continue their education. Goals, character, community service, etc. will be considered. Recipient must demonstrate normal academic progress as well as good conduct and behavior. |
Kiwanis Club of Estes Park: Hal Wilson Memorial Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $1,000 for one for (1) year will be awarded through well-stated needs, a proposed budget, and a planned career statement. Consideration will be given for attendance in Colorado colleges or universities. |
Kiwanis Club of Estes Park: Vern & Jeannie Mertz Vocational Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $1,000 is available for students planning studies in CTE, including nursing. |
League of Women Voters Estes Park: Community Service Scholarship |
The League of Women Voters of Estes Park offers a $500 scholarship to any graduating high school senior. The Community Service scholarship is open to anyone planning to study education, social science, or other service-oriented professions. |
League of Women Voters Estes Park: Environmental Sciences/Sustainability |
The League of Women Voters of Estes Park offers a $500 scholarship to any graduating high school senior. The Environmental Sciences / Sustainability scholarship is appropriate for any student who is planning to study Environmental Science, Sustainability fields, or STEM subjects in college. |
Muriel MacGregor / MacGregor Ranch Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship for $1,000 per year for four (4) years ($4,000 total) is available for tuition, books, materials, and fees provided scholarship criteria are met and maintained. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled at a college, university, or CTE school. Student must demonstrate good conduct and behavior as well as maintain a minimum of a 3.0 average in college courses (per semester and accumulative). Noncompliance can result in loss and/or repayment of scholarship. |
Noon Rotary Club of Estes Park: Academic Scholarship |
Three (3) scholarships, @ $2,500 per year for four (4) years ($10,000 total per student), are available on the basis of academic achievement and promise, activities, and citizenship. Class rank will be considered. Recipients must have normal academic progress and remain in good academic and disciplinary standing to renew each year. One (1) scholarship of $2,000 per year for two (2) years ($4,000 total) will be awarded to a student who is pursuing a vocational or non-traditional field of study. Consideration will be given to the student’s community service. Renewal will depend on reports of normal academic progress and good conduct and behavior. Noon Rotary Club of Estes Park: Lynn Coffman Scholarship |
One (1) scholarship of $1,500 for one (1) year will be given to a student graduating from Estes Park High School who is planning to major in business or related disciplines. One (1) scholarship of $1,500 for one (1) year will be awarded to a graduating senior. This is an open scholarship, but preference given to an active Eagle/Gold Scout, or student planning to study either education or history. Noon Rotary Club of Estes Park: Karol Rinehart Scholarship |
One or two scholarships of $2,000 per year for two (2) years ($4,000 total) will be awarded, with preference for a student whose high school GPA is in the 2.5-3.5 range. Required: first person in their family to attend college. Renewal will depend on normal academic progress and good conduct and behavior. PEO-AV: Dorothy & James Durrett Scholarship |
Chapter AV P.E.O. is offering one academic scholarship (amount to be determined) to a female graduating senior. This is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship offered to a student who intends to attend an accredited college or university of her choice with no restrictions as to the field of study. There is no GPA minimum for this scholarship, but the chapter will consider grade point average, class ranking, achievements and awards, extracurricular activities, community service, financial need, 3 support letters and a well written goal statement. Amount to be determined. |
PEO-GJ Scholarship |
Our chapter assists the senior women at Estes Park High School in moving forward in their educational goals and opportunities. We work to help those with financial needs. A minimum of $5,000.00 will be awarded to one applicant or divided among multiple applicants based on qualifications. Applicants must be accepted and enrolled in the following types of educational institutions: 4 year college or university, community college, vocational school, trade school and non-traditional schools. All areas of study will be considered. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or above. Each applicant to include an essay that addresses the applicant’s career goals, high school activities, community involvement. Scholarship funds are for tuition, school fees, lab fees, school meal plans that are handled through the school. Beginning with the 2024 Scholarship season, the scholarships are to be used in the fall and spring semester following the May 2024 graduation. Scholarships will not be put on hold. |
PEO-IY Scholarship |
Two (2) academic scholarships, @ $1,500 for one (1) year, will be awarded to female graduating seniors who intend on attending an accredited college, university, or vocational school. We require proof of citizenship or permanent legal residency in the United States. The recipient must have a 2.5 GPA or above. Each applicant needs to submit an essay containing information on career goals, community involvement, high school activities. |
Town of Estes Park Helping Hands Scholarship |
The activities supported by the Helping Hands Committee began as a Town employee-founded fund to help friends and neighbors with a special need. This noble intention has evolved into today’s Helping Hands Scholarship. The scholarships are financed through sales of the committee’s holiday ornaments. An application for the Helping Hands Scholarship will be considered from any graduating senior (including those who are home-schooled) who resides in the EPSD. Award numbers and amounts vary from year to year. Financial need is considered. At the Town of Estes Park, employees aim to provide high-quality customer service for all who may be helped by our work. The Helping Hands Committee looks forward to reading about how scholarship applicants have fulfilled good customer service by volunteering and engaging with community needs. Applicants with aspirations and ideas for future community engagement, wherever they may land, will also be appreciated as the Helping Hands Committee considers what outstanding community service means to each applicant. |
United Methodist Church of Estes Park: Dorothy Scott Memorial Scholarship |
The United Methodist Church of Estes Park Dorothy Scott Memorial Scholarship is a general scholarship with emphasis on CTE. One (1) or more scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded for one (1) year, to be placed in the student’s bursar account where applicable. |
